PUNT GUNS ?

Would anyone if there anyone making Punt Guns now?If so who are they? And is there a site for them?

I know in the US punt guns are and have been illegal for some while.

I have not heard of one produced in recent years and I belive they are a thing of the past as commercial bulk wild bird hunting has no real place now days. If you could find one consider in the olden days they were considered very expensive a years salary for most. Punt guns from companies like H&H on todays market would have to run into the hundreds of thousands US not to mention the shot charges would have to be as much as a months salary for some people.

Hello,
Punt guns (single & double barrel) are legal in the UK & still used by a very few fowlers.

There used to be a company called 'Adams Punt Guns' on the Solway who made them. Alan Myers probably can make one (you'll find mention of hin on a google search). They come up for auction on a fairly regular basis - theres one in this weeks Holts London auction.
