I have the Hollis 500/450 already. Might get the .500 BPE, but would have to sell the Hollis. I have a H&H .35 Winchester BA hammergun and .500 BPE looks identical so that would make a nice pair of H&Hs.

But, I like the idea of owning at least one stopper full-nitro British double.

I decided to elicit the "crowd" before making a decision.

Both are plain. The H&H is in better condition.

I thought that you owned a vintage, UK built,

hammerless 450 #2 double rifle on a boxlock action.
If so, isn't that your "STOPPER"?

Bonanza tell me more about the Hollis! Weight, barrel length, bore, and general condition! I might be interested in the Hollis if you decide you can't live without the 500BPE H&H!

I voted for the BPE H&H. Just me but I think black powder rifles are much more fun. Don't own one but I have shot Ernie Stalman's Rigbys in 500 and 577 BPE and loved them.

Good hunting with whatever you decide to keep!
