how`s this for news( news to me) with Holland and Holland releasing a .400 magnum they have just developed also they are working on the development of their new .465 magnum as well.Bet you boys would like to give em a tryout eh.400 has similar velocity to their 375 but with a 400gr pill it will have a muzzle energy increase of 25%,the 465 using a 480 gr pill has an increase of 50% over the 375 h+h-----yes. Actually the 465 has the muzzle energy of the 375 at 200 bloody yards yes alright.

Its great that the big game rifle market is flourishing enough for Hollands to consider a new calibre worthwhile - even if I'll probably never be able to afford one. . But isn't this the wheel being reinvented? I'm guessing that the cartridge will be based on a necked up .375 case, so that ammo supply won't be a problem. But apart from that, what will this round do that the old 450/.400 x 3" & 31/4" (or .400 Jeffery) couldn't do?
