Anyone have opinions about this outfit? I spoke with them briefly at SCI Reno and am considering a Zim Buff hunt with them.
First, I know nothing about them, other than what I've read in magazines and what is on THEIR website (plus talking with them).
Any opinions or comments are greatly appreciated.

let me just consult the crystal ball here.....
I've heard of them, but not enough to draw any conclusions.

They may be the biggest Safari Operators in Africa. Doug Scandrol is an American and a top notch PH his partner is from Zambia and even better (IMHO) and a Double rifle affecionado. They hunt all over Africa with a number of conscessions and PHs working for them. I've never heard a complaint about them and know a few stories that you would have a hard time believing.
I have booked one hunt with them that didn't come off, I was supposed to leave on September 12, 2001. I have been given multiple chances to take it and can not get the timing right. My problem not theirs.

I've had a hunting video for several years that features them. It's called "Pure Africa" , and was released by ACTIVE Video Productions Inc. P.O.Box 801, Mancelona, MI 49659.
The hunt is a 21 day safari throught Maasailand. It's not a bad video except for one part. In that part, the video shows a "hunter" taking the #1 SCI Lion with a bow-in South Africa.
Aside from that, it's a pretty good video if you can get ahold of it.

Thanks guys.
The PH I was speaking with was Bruce Watson (Zim born and current resident).
The 500 Jeff needs to stretch its legs. Sounds like a good hunt for Buff, Sable, and other plainsgame.
I'd sure appreciate any follow-up comments or to hear from anyone else.
