New Miller Single Shot
      #101500 - 04/04/08 10:10 AM

When Miller was bought by Dakota, and after the recent issues there, I was wondering if we would ever see any more of these great rifles and, if so, if they were going to be up to par, especially now that Kyle had left the company. I have three original Millers, and they are wonderful rifles which, if you get the chance, you should experience.

Anyhow, my dealer called and said, "Dave, the Eagle landed a month of so early, and you are going to love it." "Send it out," said I and when it showed up, I had any and all doubts banished.

Pictured below is my Miller Classic in a High Wall configuration, 7X57 rimless, and all the bells and whistles. The wood and checkering are spectacular, and for once, the photos do not do a rifle justice. Waiting only for me to mount the scope tomorrow night (Burris 4.5X14 Short Mag) and off to the range for a few hundred rounds (they are sighted in and the bore carefully broken in at the factory. The test targets were incredible as well.) Range report to follow. Dave

Shiesh.....My primary hunting single shot gets taken in the woods a lot and has a few scratches on it...... but I don't mind since it's just nice laminate which I purchased for the purpose of not getting upset when I dinged it up....I'd have to punish myself severely if I damaged wood like that ....wow very nice sir....thanks for the pictures!

Pat

Why? Is it your primary hunting rifle or are you planning to sell it?
As they say "life's too short to hunt with an ugly gun!"

And no I don't think laminates are ugly - at least not all of them

Hi Dave,

I know this is old, but if you're still around, I'd like to hear more about your range work.

Dave, That's a great looking rifle. I presume that button behind the trigger is the safety? How does it work.
Cheers, Chris
