John Bolliger - Riflemaker

I have a 7 gun collection of his, and I have to say his work is some of the best I have seen on bolt guns anywhere in this country.

Anyone else collect his stuff?

He is making a falling block rifle that has a full length stock. I saw it at SCI. It is light and handy but the metal finish was terrible. I hope it was only a prototype.

I don't know of the single shot gun you speak of, but mine are all outstanding.

Curious with all these fine weapons you have been gracious enough to display.. Do you take any of them out to hunt or do you collect only?

Yes I'm an avid hunter, and hunt with all of my guns. I couldn't imagine just collecting, and letting them sit and collect dust.

Sinner:
don't you ever buy any good looking rifles?

the only ones that you have ever posted here are GREAT looking rifles!

a very handsome set!

On another note....I see that that display rack knocks down for storage and travel...did you make it yourself?

I made one for use at our shows but I rather like the one you have,,,, could I be so bold as to ask to see a better (more detailed photo of it).

Thanks in Advance

Thank you for the kind words, yes I do prefer "great looking" over "good" any day.

I puchased a couple dozen of these Admiral Baker racks from a dealer friend of mine Lewis Drake in Kentucky, they are really made well. Here is the link:

*They are fairly expensive; about $600.00 USD ea.

Sinner,

You're going to drive someone to rob a bank or mortgage his grandmother with those pictures. Yes, great rifles as DT rightly pointed out. Thanks for posting their pictures.

Good hunting everyone!

I always enjoy your posts, I would hate it if someone sold there Grandmother though for guns. But hey you gotta do what you gotta do!
