Trophy shield for Chamois/Gemse?
      #132430 - 16/04/09 04:41 AM

I'm looking for a shield to mount my chammybuck. Does anyone know of an internettbased stores that sell these?

I've seen them on pictures, and I like that they're slightly angled as opposed to those for roebuck.

I've mounted mine on a standard escutcheon and, being quite high, it really stands out amidst my Roebucks.

Thanks a lot! Frankonia gets my order pretty soon.

What sex and size is it? Looks quite good?

I got mine at Mt. French in New Zealand, a SCI score of 24 1/4 if I don't remember wrong. Rather common. Shooting distance was perhaps about 40m. I went up a little gully, and then, out of nowhere he wandered out of the next gully beside me. Lucky for me, I saw him first

Hunting chammy is the next best hunt I know of, second only to Thar.. Wide open spaces, rough terrain, hard hunting, and in the end the reward is well earned!

Very close to it. Well, it actually was in Gnadenwald, Swaro's hunting grounds
