That looks like one of the Arizona or Colorado ranch-produced non-typical deer, through the use of special feeds.

I wish! Unfortunately I was not the successful hunter. The photo was merely to show a spectacular trophy that not many have seen to-date.

This came out of one of the transplanted herds in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. I have had the pleasure of viewing other very big bulls from these herds which have only recently been subjected to a very limited harvest.

Sorry for the misunderstanding; I wish you to harvest a nearly as big one at the nearest occasion!

Here is another bull from the same southwestern region of British Columbia as the first Roosevelt Elk shown above. This is an October 2018 harvest that reportedly has a green score of 392. We are going to see some great bulls coming out of these new herds. Alas I was not the lucky hunter.

Ripp they transplanted several herds into the SW mainland of BC 20 or 30 years ago.

Daryl: these are from one of the herds on the mainland in Region 2. The guys who shot the two bulls I have shown both commented they had seen a much larger bull, but in a place where they could not get to it.

I figured AND it makes sense..

It always happens,,the transplanted herds produce incredible horn/antler growth.. seen it time and time again..

Thanks for posting this..find it incredibly interesting..

I "harvested" three fallow yearling bucks for meat this morning. Unfortunately not wild deer though! A .222 Remington performed the brain shots. The three deer are on their way to some Burmese vineyard workers BBQs this weekend.
