Hi,

I hope you've done some research. We have a fellow on this list who is an expert on public-water gator hunting, though I haven't heard from him in awhile. Are you hunting public or private waters?

If you're hunting public waters it is hoped Bwananelson will find your post and reply. If you're on private property I can probably give you some useful information. However, it is to be assumed that you've booked a hunt and made all the pertinent arrangements. You should inquire about taking a wild hog where you're there. There are many.

Are there any particular questions to which you would like answers?

Take care, Tom

thanks for your reply tom.

I searched for a guide outfitter and booked for a private hunt with him. He is taking care of the legal stuff fees etc.

He will also be accompanying me but the other day someone said "wear safelt glasses to protect eyes from bugs" which sounds like good advice and no one told me about it.

So i thought why not post here where many more experienced hunters visit and asking for tips and advice re: hunting from them seemed the right thing to do.

thanks.

Yes - BOTH ends are dangerous! Also, remember that you cannot outmove or outrun a gator - especially one that is p***ed-off at you!!!

Down here in Bayou Country, we are almost overrun with these walking handbags as their ONLY danger is from man. Unfortunately, man is handicapped by the numerous State requirements for hunting these beasts.

Good Luck...

Reggie
