Cool! What would be the approximate date of the ammunition, and was it stored for a time in South Africa?

As G.Gibbs’ address is given as 39 Baldwin Street, Bristol 1, the ammo was supplied between 1931 and 1940.

because .256 Gibbs was never a factory caliber question is who made the alteration and what was done with the magazine. in the end they have to build the inner parts complete new .

It is a beautiful Gibbs conversion. Its 'coolest' feature, to me at least, is having the 'factory' MS take down system as well as double triggers.
