Woodleigh make a 270 grain RNSN.

True.

Funny I thought they did. During a past discussion on NE, I believed it was said they no longer did. And I am sure I checked the Woodleigh online listing and it was not listed on there. BUT I checked again after your post, and a 270 gr RNSP is definitely listed there today. So good news for me. Perfect for my needs.

42 .375" 270gr RN SN 50 .274 .250 1900-2400 1.088

Maybe I was confused with something else???

EDITED: I see I was mis-remembering, and the comments were that the various 270 gr RNSP bullets were too hard and might not expand at .375 NE velocities.

Yes, there was a discussion as to whether or not they would be to hard for the 375NE 2 1/2 however as yours is the 2 1/4 rimless which is quite a bit faster they seem to work well. They also feed very nicely.

I remember a thread discussing 270 gr RN SPs for the 9.5x57 and think this is the thread. Otherwise I have not found the recent specific thread yet.

Hornady 3715 was once the 'economy' go - to, now largely extinct. If you find some, buy it.

Kuduae has posted regarding proper feeding of the M1910 including specific seating depths for some alternate bullets.

The Woodleighs should be just right. I believe that's what Kynoch fills them with.

For smooth function of the Schoenauer magazine, build them exactly like this:

Above, 9.5 is the 9.5X57
Below, the MS is loaded with two more grains of Cordite than the RNE, Flanged Nitro - Express is the .375NE 2.5"
