I have a Glock model 20 in 10mm..that cartridge is lethal...as you can tell..

Great carry gun for in the woods...or car gun on the freeway...or house gun, or..

Actually a little overkill for in the house..possibility of going through the suspect and a wall are high..but you get the point..

Glocks are a good pistol. Very good entry price and the "sky is the limit" with what you can do with them.

I've got a few standards, a couple of Zev guns and want to get a G19 done by Agency. Take a look at the recent testing Military Arms Channel did (and some of the others they tested):

I wholeheartedly agree.......... But it is also great entertainment poking fun at the indestructible Tupperware nature of their design............

Gentlemen,

the Glock pistol seems to be THE most common "plastic pistol", however, if you are looking for this type of no-nonsense pistoland are not focused to a special brand, I would recommend to examine the PPQ family of Walther also.

I compared both pistols (both in 9mm Para)in the shop and in live shooting, and Walther PPQ convinced me:
- it has a better trigger with a good to feel "breaking point"
- the PPQ is provided with two additional grip panels in a smaller and a larger size to change the grip size for a better fit
- please note that I am not able to compare the precision of both guns, I am not a good shot
- the disadvantage of the PPQ is the price, which is about 10-15 % more expresive than the Glock

best regards
Rolf

If the PPQ barrel length is less than 104mm, it is a prohibited device in Canada and can not be imported for sale.

Hello Postman,

the barrel length of the PPQ in 9x19 is only 102 mm long (2mm too short for the canadian regulations).
I see the point of the bureaucrats that Canada will be a better and more peaceful country with this regulation, so no discussion about this!

Only the PPQ in 40 S&W has a 106mm barrel.

Rolf

Yes, our fine liberal politicians saw fit to outlaw what they deem to be evil devices. Now the criminals pay attention and abide by this silly law and ensure their barrel lengths are legal......NOT!!!!! And of course the country is a much better place because of this fine law!!!!!!!

I have handled the PPQ as well and agree it is a very nice handgun..the issue for me is I have so many of the Glocks already, I like to follow through with familiarity.. nothing really changes much from one to another when it comes time to use them..if I was starting out and didn't have a Glock already I can see wherw I might give the PPQ a good hard look...

Saw on the local news channel the other night a ticker tape flash that said the Australian PM is tightening already strict gun laws by outlawing a rapid fire shotgun......... Reading between the lines, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this in reference to the more than 100 year old technology lever action shotguns? I'm sure there will be little ducks on the ponds all over Australia voting for this obviously socialist penis.

The company had an add with a fellow well practiced in shooting it quickly and it frightened the Libtards.
Pump guns are easily much faster yet.

The Adler lever action shotgun is what he is talking about. More specifically the 7 shot version. The 5 shot is already allowed in. Or resident poison garden gnome -john Howard- is trying to keep this in the news. The importers NIOA did one up so it was nice and slick then did a u tube bit on it. This caused a mighty uproar amongst the PC mob. They tried to ban the shot gun period but pressure from the firearms world- Showing it was 150 year old technology, not new tech- had the shotgun allowed but the 7 shot banned. Also there were a number of Adler's in the country which would mean a buy back.

Now they are talking about changing the firearm category it is in. Meaning it would be way harder for those with them to keep them and harder for others to justify buying one. The plus side for Govt is they would not have to do a buy back.

G'Day Fella's,

I recently purchased a 5 shot Adler Lever Action, in 12 gauge.
This was for business reasons of coarse (to develop a suppressor for it) and had nothing to do with buying one, just to get the statistics up and irritate the Gun Grabbers...........

Speaking of Gun Grabbers, I see that that Political Animal and UN Pin-Up STOOGE, little johnny howard (John Winston Howard) has been in the media again of late. As usual, he was spruiking the BS line of how he made Australia a safer place, etc, etc. Fortunately, I think the average Aussie is now starting to see thru this and realise it is all just BS, and that there are Two types of gun owners, LAFO's and Criminals.

My thoughts, at least for where I live, is Yes, the average person away from the large cities see much of what the lying politicians have to say as BS..but those uniformed, head in the sand types in the very large cities might not see it that way and that, unfortunately is what keeps life in those worthless turds...sad to say...

My department went to a uniform issue for all officers in 2006. The pistol chosen was Glock. Officers can choose either the Glock 21 (45 ACP) or the Glock 19 (9mm). I picked the Glock 19. I don't have large hands and I simply don't like the feel of the Glock 21. It was like holding a piece of wood. In the ten years since we went to Glock the company redesigned the grip of the Glock 21, but I'm still carrying the 19. I like the pistol. It's accurate and reliable and easy to maintain. Also I own several 45 ACP pistols, but I like the 9mm. I'm accurate with it and it's easy to shoot. My department issues the Federal HST round. 9mm 124 gr +P JHP and the 45 ACP 230 gr +P JHP. We've had a couple officer involved shooting in the ten years since we went to Glock and the officers who had to shoot are still here. What more can I say.

Also the transition training for the officers was very easy. The Glock is an easy pistol to teach people. We've had no AD's since we went to Glock.
