Nice! I really want to do some top end fishing one day.
Rod and reel though, not a big fan of the idea of getting in the water with all your friendly stingy bitey things.

I must have swum thru the tentacles and dragged them over my face. Burnt immediatly. Got into the boat and poured a soft drink across the effected area. Left the vinegar on the counter at home. Burnt all day and was still burning late last night.
Thankfuly okay this morning.
Had some swelling and numbness around my mouth and cheek.
Chris got stung the day before and came up in welts and small blisters. Descibed the pain as burning as well.
There were a lot of small ones around only saw one large one. suprising how quick they can get around. Tried to get some pics of one but they didnt turn out.
Vinegar is in the boat now.....
Live and learn. Maybe Mick

Rick- Bull routs hurt but found a new meaning for pain whilst crabbing a few years ago trod on a purple spotted ray ( Omlete) and it drove its spike into my ankle joint. worst night of my life. Heres a pic taken 15 hours after. hot water took the pain away. managed to burn my foot with the hot water as well. Mick

Good show.

Jellyfish sting -- ouch!
Vinegar for that..? Does it work immediately? Does it stop the effect altogether?

Those fish look great.

Cheers
Tinker

Tinker,

Google Box jellyfish for an idea of just how nasty.

BTW Mick, Gilbert Whitley's freshwater fishes of Oz and the CSL rate kroki as painful as a stonefish.

(I can't compare them, the kroki was bad enough)
