Fantastic!!
I’ve been waiting (for how long) with everybody else to see these completed.
Ahmed is going to be thrilled with these I’m sure!

Fantastic. Now when these super models arrive, a photoshoot of each is needed to record all their beautiful cirves permanently. And with due time of course, action shots in the field.

Lovely. What a personal collection.

The Battery of Nine, completed at last.

PS I reckon that is Ahmed's table, so they might already be here. Some had already been sent in the past(?). But evidently the last done, dusted and sent.

Mick, thanks for posting. All Admed's images are spread on so many threads. Need to collect them in a gallery.

The table is at the PURDEY factory. None of the guns were shipped. All or none was the agreement. The revolvers (WEBLEY STYLE) from STUART ANDERSON WHEELER HAVE BEEN A DISASTER I have done my money. However the webley from HOLTS June 21 auction is on its way. This revolver was bought new by Athol S PURDEY for his son James A PURDEY as his officers revolver during his 1st WORLD WAR. The BOSS BATTERY of 6 is complete and waiting shipment as well. The 7th BOSS a 600 was added 3 years ago and needs another 3 years or so. The BOSS BATTERY is also serial numbered to the Calibres. Both firms have been outstanding to deal with. I have just spent 28 days on a NT hunt. Will be back for September. Covid has stopped me shooting in NT for 18 months, I have a backlog of jobs to do. I do have a lot to report on the regulation of the PURDEYS. Thank you Mick for our catch up this morning.

Thanks C. You must be looking forward to them then. Finally.

I'd be interested in hearing the Anderson Wheeler story. It was sold to someone, "with money", next Stuart A-W seemed to be distanced from it. The website, etc all disappeared and never heard anymore. S A=W once telephoned me after a query but I missed the call and never followed up. Sad if you have blown the deposit or more.

Wow, 28 day NT hunt! Sounds like a good decent time in the bush.

Looking forward to more info when you can.

Whatta setup.

Beautiful.

I would have to live 9 lives to buy all 9. Maybe if I order 9 guns from Purdeys they can agree on a 1000 year lay-away plan.

Congratulation Ahmed.

Forget the cost. I am sick of paying 5,10, 15, 20, 30, 40, or 50, times what someone else paid for a new gun. No problem if gun has 100 percent service history. These are very hard to find. A new gun is cheap if you are silly enough to leave your money to a future gun enthusiast.

Right, I'd like Ahmed/C to tell us what are the planned uses of each?
What he plans to hunt with each first or generally? OK lets put aside problems with travel at the moment, and assume the world has returned to normal.

Water buffalo I assume is one beast. Saltwater crocodiles for the .300, .303 and .375? How about elephant for the .600? Surely? Magpie geese for the 10-bore smoothbore? And pigs and maybe buffalof rot eh rifled choke 10-bore? Roos for the 5.6?

I am guessing of course, and would love to know, what is planned for this impressive battery. Thanks C if you can comment?

PS I am willing to be a gun bearer! You can only carry one at a time, so eight others are needed and perhaps three or four ammo bearers!

Very, very nice. I was in at the Australian Agents the other day and had a look at the Purdy Price list !!!!! It was a full 3 days later before I could speak again. ha ha.

Mate, you have some magnificent rifles. Well done.....I hope you enjoy warm barrels for many years to come.

Thanks for having that photo posted.

Thanks for the answer, C. You are well equipped for all and sundry.

Impressive 12 weeks in the NT this year. Escape the Southern madness. Enjoy.

PS The combination of the Purdey Battery of Nine, the Purdey GunCarrier Landrover, the Classic Safari Guncave Canvas African tent, outfitted with campaign furniture, Wow! Your body will go into shock after your accustomed rough swag in the dust camps! Your new camp will be a sight to see.

PPS When you have set up your luxury camp, will you still drop the old swag by the fire, to sleep in instead? Like the guys who can't use a soft mattress after years in the bush and instead sleep on a blanket on the floor?!

Two years ago whilst down in London I called in to Purdeys and Colin kindly gave them permission to let me see the guns in the Long Room. Had they not had to close for the day at 5 pm I would still be there now, in the pictures they look great, in the flesh they are even better, worth every penny imo.

My personal favourites the hornet single shot with period scope and the.600, Ne plus ultra,

One day we need to do a comprehensive photoshoot of Colin's/Ahmed's collection. Purdey, Boss, and numerous others plus vintage firearms. Campaign furniture and vehicles. Canvas "East African" tents. Safari bars. Artworks. An amazing collection.
