Picked it up from my local dealer yesterday (MAGNUM SPORTS, Syd).

Ahh, you know the plan. It took a lot of will power not to load the Toyota this AM and head up for a hunt.

Took the V-C out for a walk this weekend and although I didn't shoot anything with it I did use it on a follow up of a big Boar that a mate wounded with his 9.3.
I tracked it down into a valley through some awfully thick bush (hands & knees stuff) until loosing the small amounts of blood and prints due to other spoor and rain. Its quite a comfortable rifle to carry and now for next weekend to see how it shoots.

Finally able to put it to use.
I shot this old Sow on last light with the help of the fold over night sight.

It is my firm belief that Verney-Carron are the best kept secret in quality double rifles. Very nice smoke pole Monsieur.
