I bought the Bertram 577 3 inch and trimmed the cases to 2.74 inches. Didn't have to ream, just chamfer in and out.

Bonanza,

Not yet. In early December I had a nasty fall on ice in which I tore up my shoulder. Had rotator cuff surgery on Dec 31. Have been more or less laid up since then. It is my right shoulder, so no shooting at all.

I'm on the mend, though. I am getting some good motion in the shoulder and I can use my arm for most non-strenuous tasks. By mid summer I should be in shape to shoot it.

I have all the loading equipment and will be ready to go when the shoulder will stand it.

Your prognosis is better than mine. I finally, after 5 months of waiting, get an mri and another arthogram on mine. Shoulder surgery here is a 1 1/2 to 2 year wait. So much of cheap medical attention. I could go South to get it done in the States and pay for the work, but my med would not cover any post operative care nor medicine nor physio.
; Ain't it great.
; Hope yours allows some shooting as early as this coming summer. My friend, although much older at about 68, has been told he'll never swing a rope again. He's a team roper who took up the sport at age 60.

Daryl,

I think my prognosis is pretty good. It's been a tough injury and recovery, but my physical therapist says I should make a 100% recovery. I feel encouraged about it, as I see improvement every week.

The "liberals" complain about our medical system here in the States, but the fact is I was injured on Friday Dec 7. I had an MRI on the following Tuesday. My surgery was on Dec 31, only 24 days from the injury.

This is rather corny, but here's a photo I snapped in the mirror on Jan. 10, 2008.

I have come a long way since that day. I then could hardly push the shutter on the camera.

Hope you can get some relief.

Curl--
Best to you and your recovery.

Hopefully you'll be back at the fun stuff real soon.Check with your ortho guy but some hints regarding your toys-- Just keep the guns close to your body to minimze the lifting work your rotator cuff "fix' has to deal with. A log of your progress can be helpful when you reach a certain point in your recovery.

When the american medical system works it can do amazing things!!

Best of luck!!
