David Southgate painting - Jim Corbett & the Champawat Maneater

The latest double rifle painting by David Southgate of the "Hungry Head Studios". The third painting in the series.

As David says: "This painting is about Jim Corbett who shot the Champawat Man eater in 1907 with his old 500 Nitro Express Double. It is a great read. I have researched the location and have tried to depict the scene as accurately as possible."
