WTS Springfield DCM sporter with Townsend Whelen stock

Back in the 30's Col. Whelen founded the National Target and Supply Co. One of its most popular services was restocking rifles to the Colonel's specifications. This one is an original DCM Sporter with a Star Gauge barrel SN 1317745. It has a beautifully figured walnut stock with a horn forend tip. Its only concession to modernity is a welcome Decelerator pad with an LOP of 14 1/4"s.

How I wish import and export wasn't so bloody difficult and expensive.

I know exactly how you feel, because my main interest is English rifle and importing them to here in the US is a pain.
