As New Verney Carron 500NE for sale/trade

Hi all,
I just took delivery of a fully optioned Verney Carron 500NE last month. Due to interim eye problems coming to light (glaucoma), I'm looking for something several rungs down the recoil ladder. Price is $20K USD, which is below replacement. I'm happy to entertain trade/partial trade offers. Specifically, I'm interested in locating a high original condition Alex Henry 450 or 500BPE (hammer or hammerless), or similar best maker. Will also consider small/medium bore vintage Brit nitro doubles, or interesting top-shelf bolt rifles. My recoil tolerance is about on the order of a 500BPE/.375/.404.

This 500 has 25" bbls, flip up night sight, flat filed quarter rib, one standing/two folding leaves with gold centerline, long grip tang with trap reservoir, over-the-comb top strap, rounded action with H&H style moustaches, stalking safety, intercepting sears, upgraded rose and scroll engraving, upgraded dark stock, splinter English foreend, Silver's pad, and a more open English-style grip without the palm swell V-C typically builds. Weight is 11#5oz. LOP is 14 5/8", slight cast off and cheekpiece for the right-handed shooter.

The rifle is back with Ken Buch (US importer) for display at the January trade shows. I haven't had the rifle long enough to take good photos, but am happy to direct you to a thread outlining the build specs as well as additional factory-supplied pictures and answer any questions. I have seen and handled this rifle. It's not your typical V-C. It's highly upgraded and very tastefully specified. The engraving is several notches above anything I have seen on a V-C. These photos don't do it justice.

From what I have seen, typical V-C rifles are a cut above most modern doubles. If this one is a cut above that standard (and Curl would know)someone should be taking a closer look at this rifle if they are in the market. I am betting the figuring in the stock is to die for!
