$70,000?

Is that right? Or a typo?

Yep that is pretty steep however I know little of Boss values. Even if I could afford I would have some questions. What happened to original barrels and also in a 2 barrel case so was it originally a 2 barrel set.

Speaking of UG anyone see the 275 Rigby that was on there a few days ago. Appeared cheap just based on price.

Pretty typical for a lot of the Australian sellers who seem to think that their guns, British in particular are worth gold. As was pointed out by 375, the barrels are not original and the single trigger is not a boss type, therefore the gun is not all that valuable. An original unmolested gun would be purchasable in England for half that. There are some sellers that seem to have infinite patience, century arms in particular.

I think if you had a close look, and the description said, "Rigby stye". I had a double take myself when I first saw it and reached for the phone. Nothing more than a nice 98 conversion.

Les
Yes understood it was a custom however when you take into account the 98 action, sights bases, stock etc I thought it was a pretty good price assuming all was well done.

Hi,
The price was good if it was well done, it would have cost at least twice that to have it built, probably a lot more, but the heading read as if it was a Rigby.

I was just looking at the "Australian Arms Auctions" results for October this year and old mate 275 Rigby looks very much like item 19 in this auction. It sold for $2100.
As we have said the $3650 UG price was good if the gun was done well. If the same gun then it was stolen at $2100.
A good flip for the original buyer.
Rick
