Hope you made it back safe and sound, and that you had a great hunt. Don't make us wait too long for a hunt report and photos.

I wish Erik full success.

I offered to take care of his nice spouse and daughter, he dismissed it ???????

Erik is no green horn ; if circumstances produced a good ele, when chips are down, I am sure Erik will splendidly perform immediately.
And imagine the fine pics he'll post here!!

The rumors of my demise (although wished by some) are incorrect, and I am alive, but not well, back in Oslo!

Since my computer crashed permenantly the evening before I left for Zim, I have not been able to log on before now, but have been downtown today to buy a new laptop... An unwanted addition after a strained hunting trip budget...

As for being not well, I have had a rather high fever (38.5 celcius) combined with a bad stomage since the day before I left Harare, and it is only now coming under control thanks to a cure of Cipro.

I will later this evening try to add some pictures and a report of the elephant hunt, but can not promise anything, as I am in the process of reinstalling software etc, and it might take some time. I will then be leaving tommorow morning for a couple of weeks away with my wife and baby, so in the worst case, no report/pictures will be available till my return. However, to give you a taste: I ended up with 1 ele cow, 1 hippo, and 1 waterbuck. A buff cow is still walking around in Chewore North with a very slight nick on one fore-leg... She will be alive and well for many years to come... We also had an encounter with a group of elephant cows who did not behave politely. Thus, one of them is not with us any more, although she did her best to kill us before being killed herself.

All in all, a great trip.

I'll try to update with more detail later tonight.

Erik

Erik

Take it easy. Hope you recover soon. Some of these African bugs can be a lot worse than one at first believes.

Your elephant hunting sounds quite exciting.

Erik,
Welcome back! I hope you and Myles had a good hunt and that you ended up with the Avon Skin So Soft I passed to Buzz to get to you from BillC. Sorry to hear you are "under the weather" as we say in the States. Do look forward to your report! Have you heard anything about Bill's hunt with Buzz in the Sapi???
Thanks and hope you start to feel better soon!
