Looking forward to a shooting report from AFRO. Woodleigh 286gr RN loaded to about 2350fps. A few guys recommended this load so assume it works, just hope so in this one....

Cheers,
Mark.

58 grains 2208 will do it.

That's the one

Cheers,
Mark.

Getting back to business.
A hard day at the office. ;D

Sight regulating was done today, on this 9.3, a .404 J and a 45-70 DR.
Lovely day out there. I know, it's a hard job, but someone has to do it.

The sights are set at 75yds and it only took about a dozen rounds. The last two landed in the bull about 2" apart and considering that my old eyes can't see the target too well, it's not bad.

I'll smooth all the sharp edges on the sight leaf and I'm ready to blue it all.

Shit you're quick on the posting. I no sooner get here after checking the other post and you've already been

Can't wait for the blueing.......

As mentioned elsewhere, how does the Winchester cross bolt at the rear of the action look with the new one? Should we (you ) and can we fit the other cross bolt to match???

Cheers,
Mark.

Mark,

Tony does an outstanding blue. You will love it. There is something about a slim stock with a fat barrel and indexed cross bolts that just looks mean. (No pressure Tony).

Looking good - rear sight is properly positioned for me as well. Closer to the action does not work any more.

Thanks Daryl and Staffan.
I put the rear sights 140mm from the front of the action.
Seems to be a suitable distance.

Mark. You know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Tell her that my wife is pleased with her comments.

Looks beautiful, classic lines in a classic calibre. My CZ is a delight to use (thank you Neale for the loads) you will find it very emphatic on game if you do your bit with the bullet placement. As I get older I find these larger classic calibres more and more appealing. Thanks to Yourself, Afro and all concerned for sharing the birth of this beauty with us

Lothar Walther Barrel, 58 grains of 2208, 286 grain Woodleigh. A winner combination.

Congratulations Mark.
