      #355512 - 23/07/21 01:36 PM

Mixed success the last few trips heres a few pics brief descriptions of game taken.
Young bull taken in the burn with 325WSM and 160 TTSX x2 down very quickly

few young ones

nice scrubber for another day

found a new spring and got three pigs out of a mob. Mitch 300WM

325WSM win extreme

Skop with early morning boar 308 rem 700 165gr PPSN

Skop young bull 3x to put him on ground, his second bull.

At skops shot this bull appeared from the high grass 93x62 250gr TSX

recovered TSX

Better pic

Walked into the cacasses and nothing on them continued on and could smell where a boar had walked by, looked up to SKop about to take a shot. Boar dropped on the spot

Did some Km's before the next bit of action, small mob of buff. Quickly dropped three with the 93.
large cow

young bull

Fuzzie for meat

breaking down meaty

meat cached in a cool spot

recovered TSX

Found a fresh set of boar tracks and shit hoped to find him on the creek about 700m later 20 m shot didn't get out of his bed

A few good trips cheers Mick
Found a croc nest at a local spot eggs hatched out.

Great write up and photos. Especially the last photo of the bull in amongst the timber 👍.

Good to see your Rigby Highlander getting some use. I had mine out last week chasing pigs….I really like that Rigby. Thanks for taking the time to post .

The eager young buck gets the small bull, while the wise old buck gets the big bull.

One thing that always impresses me about Mick, is his harvesting of meat. The photos don't show it, and you can't feel through photos, but it is probably very hot and possibly humid as well. I can't see the flies the mosquitoes and bugs in the photos either.

But taking free and good meat, while hard yacka (hard work for our foeign readers ) , is satisfying and makes a hunter, not a shooter.

As Marrakais line says, the bullshit stops when the bull drops and the works starts, or sometyhing like that.

Thanks for posting Mick.

Great trip again Mick and excellent pics, particularly that last with that scrubber amongst the trees. Good to see the Rigby getting a workout certainly looks good in the pics. Thanks for posting.

Great to see you in the thick of it again Mick!
Good to see a variety of rifles used & game taken!
Very nice young buff taken for meat, that would have been a tasty meal or 3 there!
Well done mate - bloody envious.
