Few More pigs
      #307804 - 15/11/17 07:59 PM

Heres a few pics of game from recent trips. Build up is well and truly here so plenty of rain has made it a bit harder to find game. Bird season has been pretty good so far with a lower bag limit of three magpie geese. Plenty of ducks around so good shooting still available. Heres some pics cheers Mick

I like the stocking shape of those Rugers.

Harrison's Dam?

Are there salties there. I believe there are. How active are they, especially considering the dogs going in and out of the water? Do you ever go in yourself?

Big looking Johnson's croc. How large is it, 6 feet plus?

Its not at Harrison dam. Rice bays on private property. Occasional salty in the rice but mainly at night. We have seen them crossing near the main channel.
Harrison does have salties in it. Depends on the water levels. Close proximity to the Adelaide river........
Very careful where Styer gets to work/ retrieve. Try to pick croc friendly spots. Or work the edges and only let him retrieve the shallow stuff. Pretty much if I won't walk in it he doesn't get to retrieve in it. Styers wary of the water.
The freshie was around 6 foot and didn't want to move so took the time for a pic.
Cheers Mick

Looks like a good time!
What load are you using in the AyA #2 for the geese?

Nicely done, all. I know you're not shooting steel in those shotguns like we must do in the U.S.A.

Im using # 2 steel the AYA is a #1. 1/4 , 1/2 choked. Not my go to gun for geese. Too light. Normally run a beretta o/u.
Steel shot is compulsory now in the NT. Cheers Mick

Thanks Mick. I've been leery of using steel in my 1999 vintage AyA choked .005" & .014".
