I don't recognize the type of tree, but I think you should lay in more fertilizer. Al

Can't believe you let him go to sleep there Gryph...I'd be flicking bits of bark, twigs etc, just to keep him awake!!
All good fun, I think we've all done it at some stage...you do feel better for it though.

Considering the rifle against the tree, drink bottle out, no face mask or gloves, it was a meal and drink stop.

I did fall asleep for a short time at another spot that day though ...

Always an issue for me when stopping and sitting or reclining still for a period of time.

I hunted hog deer when I was suffering from severe glandular fever a couple of decades ago. Probably slept more than was awake on that hunt. Used to rope myself well to the tree when sitting twenty feet up a tree, as more than once started to tip over. Got a nice hoggie stag that trip anyway.

I normally don't mention any medical issues on public forums as it is no ones business.

Nothing wrong to take a pit stop when hunting. JB and I in the heat of the Top End in the middle of the day used to try to find a shady cool and perferably wet stop most middays for a couple of hours.

I have never had any trouble laying down for a spell whether in the rain up against a log or under a cherry tree.

I know a bloke that was asleep at a wallow and woke sometime later and a 28 incher was standing in the wallow...the stag is on the wall!
