real good buffalo, Pato.

That makes me really decided to come and hunt such a great game in wonderful Australia.

I love to be teased this way.

That's a good looking bull.

Quote:

Nice long horned cow.

Another excellent bull trophy and with crescent horns.

Pato Jr, what's a "250"? Is it a typo for a .450 or are you using a tiny calibre?

Would 45-70 be enough gun for buff in Austrailia?

--------------------
I have a 30-06 and a 45-70 side by side rifle by Baikal. I also modified a 12 gauge side by side into a slug gun. My problem has always been champagne and caviar tastes on a generic diet coke and fritos budget.

I am interested in the 45-70 question to.

I have a Sabatti DR in 45-70 and would like to, one day, take a buff with it.

I reload so any suggested buff load would be good to.

Never tried a .45/70 but I am sure it can kill a buffalo providing proper projectiles are used and the right shots are taken.

However there will be times and situations when it is not adequate. So be warned.
