Pensbury scroll engraving Rigby Big Game rifle
      #377225 - 11/06/23 03:20 AM

Another exceptional example of the classic Rigby ‘Pensbury’ scroll, engraved here by Will Wild on a .375 H&H custom Rigby Big Game rifle. The result of many hours of meticulous work by our team. #JOHNRIGBYANDCO #RIGBYBIGGAME #INPERSUITOFADVENTURE

"Pensbury" scroll engraving is nice even though I'm not a big fan of overembellishment on this kind of rifle.
On the other hand, for a rifle of this quality, this type of ERA swing mount is unacceptable, as is the tormented safety shroud.
This remains my personal opinion and does not detract from the quality of the craftsmen.

I am in total agreement about the mounts and the safety shroud.

In fact, I think that the safety shroud looks bad period.....best rifle or plain. Does anybody make a replacement for those?

Nice rifle. A great caliber also.

The engraving is tasteful and beautiful.

I agree about the scope mounts. That was a shortcut. Should have been claws.

There are a lot of great choices for a custom sideswing M70 type safety on a Mauser. If this one is a rigged, two-position safety resulting from cutting the original Mauser shroud, that is not to my liking. I can't tell from the photos now being displayed.

I'm sure the craftsmanship is great. However, I think the engraving is too much. How many Rigby logos can you fit to a rifle...

From practical standpoint, how to use the scope an i rons sights with same stock. The scope mount is too high. Smithsons mounts or claw mould be better. Or mill the squarebridges for Talley mounts.
