That would be a fun gun. I wonder if it's regulated for the early ammo with 300gr. or the latter ammo with 255gr. bullets?

I believe the rifle is 1890-1910. Just a guess though. Interesting, for you, is that it came out of Horsefly Area from one of the Germans.

I have shot it with 255 grn. factory loads at our dirt pile. I managed to hit the rock I was shooting at at around 50 yds.

Mick - intersting it came from Horsefly - some Germans there, many Swiss though, like the family I stay with when gopher shooting.

What it does on paper, offhand, or standing benched at 25 and 50 yards might be telling.

Plese mesure the tubes - ie: bore and groove diameters, slugging iwht a pure lead slug - a pure lead .45 round ball is handy for that, just pound it into the muzzle and push it out.

The reason I suggest that, is some of the cast bullet suppliers in the States have 300 to 310gr. bullets.

Winchester loaded the lighter 255gr. in it's factory ammo
