The Decapper for the berdan primer is slick

I use a small chisel point punch to get a similar effect

Amazing pieces Lancaster!
I can't see how those moulds would be doing a good session, you'd have to have good gloves at least to not burn yourself!
How did the Berdan deprimer/primer work Tinker?
Wonderful workmanship.

Lancaster,
Great pictures of vintahe reloading tools. Thanks fpr showing.

93x64: Many of the 19th century molds required the handles be wrapped in cord and the user wear gloves. My 36 cal Colt 1851 mold has short steel handles. My BPE rifle molds are brass or bronze and rrquire welding gloves to use.

The berdn decapper has a pin that is driven into the primer at an angle and when open, pops out the spent primer. Obviously, you don't want to use one with a live primer.

The swinging handle pushes the punch against the steel spring's return pressure - the punch travels in a path diagonal to the flat surface of the primer

As the chisel tip of the punch meets the primer's surface, it catches it and pushes it into the cavity in the case head, deforming the primer and dislodging it from the primer pocket

Slick and simple

I use a seating die threaded into the press upside down to hold the case head-up and with a hand held small chisel tip punch and a light mallet I preform the same task

Too easy

And that set of tools sold for only 221 Euros!

Someone got a great value for their fragile currency.
Good for them.

Thanks Tinker!
I guess once you know what you're doing then all good!
I've used a hydraulic set up before, messy but it works.

Berdan primers are apparently not so easy to find these days.

What size Berdan primers do you need?

very unusual mould for casting a 82 gramm bullet of .779 diameter https://www.tradera.com/de/item/301784/563271197/enorm-kultang-19-8-mm

fits maybe a 10ga?

That's quite a mould. 1262.8gr. = 82 grams @ 15.4gr. per gram.
Difficult to hold when hot enough to cast good bullets.
