Do pregnant zebras taste better, I wonder?
At least the big cats kill their foot before eating it. No so the BC Grey Wolf. 2 to 4 will hold it down while another 2 eat it to death.

Any carnivore will start to eat an animal while still alive. No such thing as a "humane" kill in nature.

But cats will often strangle a beast while biting its neck.

Here in America, Griz normally don't right away..at least on a human attack.. I am sure it is different when the kill a moose or elk for food.. at least that is what we have been told all these years..black bear is a different story, they eat you right away after killing you..hence the warning, if they come after you don't play dead.. fight to the death as that is what it really is..
