Picked up new No 1 - Some questions...

Just picked up my new No 1 RSI 7x57, and as this is my first falling block, or single shot of any kind for that matter, I had a question regarding the gun.

When the gun is loaded you can see the cartridge rim through the top of the action and the falling block wiggles, just a little, front and back. Is this normal for this design? Not being familiar with the design, I assumed the block would seal at the top against the breech, but maybe not?

I have the exact same gun in the same caliber. Your gonna love it. A pleasure to carry and shoot.

I don't recall movement and not sure about seeing the rim of the case. I'll check in the next day or so if someone else doesn't have the answer before then.

I can see a small part of the cartridge rim in my no.1 in .375 HH, but I can't see any wiggling by the falling block.

Ben;
My No.1's are both rimmed, but I can see quite a
bit of the rim and the block can me moved just a bit
if you try hard. Your 7x57 headspaces on the shoulder
so you might try some different ammo and see if it
changes any. Sounds like yours is about normal though.

Thanks guys,

I talked to Ruger on the phone as well while swapping out scope rings, and they say that play in the block is normal. Thanks again for all the replies!
