Cabelas Chapuis armes

I see that Cabelas has joined forces with Chapuis,and introduced their chapuis Cabelas DR. Interesting write up on there web sight, guy takes American Bison with Chapuis DR. Apparently there is going to be a Tv documentary on the cabelas outdoor journal, this will be aired on the Outdoor channel.

I handled this gun at SCI just yesterday. It seems to be of very good quality with no glaring faults for a reasonable price. I believe it was either $11K or $12K...somewhere in there. The rep I talked to said they sold 10 of them the first day they were available to the public. I only saw a 470NE and don't know what, if any, other calibers are available.

470 is the biggest Chapuis makes and the only chambering you want among those offered. Google Chapuis Armes and choose English. They're good utility grade guns. The Cabela's gun is $10,999 and has a wood upgrade from AAA to AAAA wood and upgraded enhanced engraving. Most dealers sell the base guns in 470 for retail, $11,775-11,999. The Cabelas Chapuis is a decent deal, if they still have one and you must have new and must have it now. Heirloom Armes has the best prices on new Chapuis but you have to order it. I'd say look for one used but there are too few about.
