Buy a can or 2 of WIPE OUT and Accelerator from Paul Company
and that should fix your problems.

Do a search in Google.

Midway carries it(WipeOut). Absolutely the best thing since sliced bread and indoor toilets!

Woodleigh's are little buggers for fouling and "Wipeout" seems to be the best remedy.

Wipeout does not work as well in a hot barrel. At the range warm barrel I use sweets. Wipe out is wonderful, just not as fast as swets.

The solvents you are already using are about the best for range use.
: Wipeout is incredible, if left in the bore overnight. The others cannot be left or should not be left for more than about 15 min between patching out and re-applying. I'm about 50/50 as to whether Sweets or CR10 is best. 'Montana Exreme' is preferred by some of the small bore guys I know.
: I use bronze bushes only in large bored guns. I prefer to apply the amonia based solvents with a nylon brush with steel core. Sweets and CR10 are hard on bronze brushes.

Shanster,

I'm also very pleased with Wipeout. But note that it sometimes is necessary to do the procedure twice with heavily fouled bores. It still beats the usual ammonia based options IMO, even though it takes longer to complete.

I use Purple Problem Solver from www.specialtyformulations.com ,it's excellent at removing metal fouling. And, it's harmless to the bore. No ammonia fumes to worry about, either.

Don't mean to belabor the point, but shouldn't you try some other bullets since the Woodleigh's foul so much?

ErikD: "I'm also very pleased with Wipeout."

Where can I get hold of WipeOut in Norway? If that's where You've bought it?

Bonde,

No one imports it into Norway last I checked. So I order from here: http://www.oksmoke.co.uk/wipeout.html

For the range, Montana Extreme 50 BMG solvent is about the best I have used. It is best if you use it until there is no more copper on the patch. Make sure the barrel is dry with a few clean patches. If you want to run an oiled patch down there after it is dry, that is fine, but be sure to then patch all the oil out.

If this is a new rifle, you may have to deal with some break in cleaning. The more you shoot it and clean it, the less fouling you will experience. If you are still getting a lot of fouling, you may want to follow one of the published barrel break in procedures. Plan to spend a whole day at the range and bring a load of patches.

For cleaning at home, I use Wipeout.

Thanks Erik! By the way, what double rifle(s) do you have? I've heard it's quite a few 470s in Norway.. along with at least one 500 I know of..

Bonde,

A big fat zero. But that will be changing in the relatively near future.
