NEW Truly British Made Double Double Rifle

If one wanted to buy a new, TRULY BRITISH MADE, 470 NE DR, just a straight forward boxlock working gun like the PRO HUNTER from Heym - www.heymusa.com - it having an articulated forward trigger and intercepting sears, plain JANE, just durable and reliable for the job, PRICE BEING A FACTOR, what company does one contact, what is the cost going to be. I am not talking H&H, Purdey, Westley Richards or any of those other TROPHY names. I am referring to www.trwhiteguns.com or other lessor known rifle makers.

I checked the website but no mention of rifles, I emailed them for price on a .470NE with the Scottish round action . Have you got a price from them on a double? Thanks

A few of them offer boxlock DRs. Others may offer them if you ask.

FWIW - Seems like Shooting Sportsman or DGJ did a piece on TR White a few years back. I think the price was around 30K pounds for one of his round-action shotguns. I don't know that he builds DR, but if he does, you can imagine that they are even more than the shotguns.

Gentlemen

What you seek is being built in England at this very moment, you might want to check out Trevor Proctor of wilmslow, Cheshire, England.

Trevor build fine stalking and big-game magazine rifles to .500 Jeffery as well as fine doubles both boxlock and sidelock.

Under build at present he has a .275 Rigby boxlock ejector, a 500/416 Best quality boxlock ejector, a number of .470's and a .600 boxlock.

Built on forged actions with triple bolting system and bolstered reinforcements to the action at the bar.

The list of clients is long and extensive and included many top African P.H's and staff of KWS. an embryonic web-site is under construction, however any interested party may send me a pm and I will attach some photos of rifles under construction.

Prices are amongst the lowest in the U.k for double rifles.
