Here are a couple that can be had in the $300.00 range

Made by Tom Delucie (sp) of Pasco WA. A H&H copy

.

I think Mark Stratton may be making this at some point. A Rigby copy

I have used them and had 4 or 5 around here for awhile, Personally I didn't like them, they seem to open up the accuracy of a rifle unless you fit the cocking piece then its tight and that bothered me..Most don't really hold a zero well IMO...I gave up on them and started using the Williams ghost peep that is a small affair on top of the rear ring, with nothing protruding off either side...Now if I can just talk someone into making the same in steel...

BTW, I sold all the cocking piece sights I had, so don't ask...

Ray

What would you use if the rifle was drilled and tapped?

To realize any consistent accuracy with a cocking piece sight, the sears must be fashioned into closely mated "V" shapes (male-female) to eliminate any play or rotation between the two.
This is more work, and finer work, than most are willing to do.
But nobody uses a CP sight if they really want accuracy.
