First 2 pictures are from left to right, 500 nitro blaser,577 Searcy, 700 nitro Searcy, 8 bore underhammer blackpowder, 22 1/2" bl. right hand Ken Owen 4 bore, 24" bl. left hand Ken Owen 4 bore, King Kong 2 bore blackpowder by Steve Zihn

3rd picture is top to bottom 577, 4 bore, 4 bore, 700 nitro, 500 nitro

4th picture is the 2 bore and the 8 bore, both black powder

5th picture is left to right, 585 Wells magnum, 600 overkill, 600 overkill, 700 AHR, 700 AHR. the last 4 are all made by AHR's Wayne Taylor

last picture left to right 14.5mm by SSK, 500 A Square, 500 nitro ruger #1, 510 Kodiak express by Mic McPherson, 500 Jeffery ultralite by Bijou Creek

That is the entire 500 and above family. Enjoy!

Wow, impressive! I had already come to grips that my soon to be 470 Capstick is just a medium bore but I thought it was a large medium bore lol...

The 2-bore looks amazing, definitely comes into it's own space in perspective of the other rifles.

The Grey Ghost 700 AHR is left handed along with one of the 4 bores and the 2 bore.

The third picture is almost a side view. I can tell you that the 4 bores get 1480 ft/second with a 2000 grain bullet loaded with 115 grains of blue dot. The 700 nitro get 1996 ft/second with 160 grains of RL 15. It can be pushed to 2300 ft/second, but it is regulated for 2000 ft/second. I have not chronographed the 500, the 2 bore or the 577 yet.

Nice collection. Out of curiosity, which 4 bore is it that has the serial number as a memorial to Kyle? I can only imagine what it would be like to fire a rifle like that-your ammo bill must be a nightmare, even if you reload.

The 4 bore with his initials and 001 is the longer 24" barreled one with the darker color case hardened receiver. It has less engraving, high gloss wood and is left handed. Kyle would have been 17 on this December 27th. I miss him all the time, but especially when I am shooting. He was always there with me to shoot and never missed a gun show. Definatly happier times for me.

Thanks Bill, the story is posted under big bores "TRAGEDY". You never know, I might have been able to save him if I had gotten home a few minutes earlier.Unfortunately, I didn't. I relive that event daily. He was such a great kid. He liked shooting and watching me shoot big stuff. No matter how much we shot it was always "lets do it again dad" so of course, we would!

I too have lost loved ones and sometimes the best you can do is honor their memory every day which you do. I checked out your memorial website. You have a beautiful family.
