Meeting up in Darwin or the NT - end of August?

A number of us may be in the NT at roughly the same time.

"Orion" and I will be hunting buffalo with Graham Williams of Australian Buffalo Hunters, at the end of August for seven days. We are hoping to crack onto some pig hunting or waterfowl hunting (or whatever) for a few extra days after that.

"470Nitro" from Spain will be hunting with Matt Graham of Hunt Australia at a very similar time and also doing a week's pig hunting with Matt as well.

"Marrakai" has invited us and anyone else to join him for a "sherbert" and a meal at his exclusive yacht club ( ) overlooking Darwin's harbour.

I believe "500Nitro" said he might be up there then too.

"Bakes" will you be around? Interested in a drive up from Katherine?

Anyone else interested?

The idea is to get together for some drinks and a meal or whatever. To make time to do so. Please post when you will be around and lets see if we can arrive at a common date and time or two.

I will email or PM everyone mentioned above.

Orion and I will be hunting the 22nd to 28th of August. So after the 28th plus travelling time would be about the earliest we would be assuming. If we get some hunting somewhere else, a later date might be possible if we hunt first.

Thanks for call me Nitrox I'm very busy right now

Well, I'll arrive to Darwin on 17th and I'll drive to Dorisvale for 5 days. After that I'll hunt buffalos in Gan Gan for another 5 days and I'll be back on 29th.

I think I won't need 5 days to hunt a big buff so I'll spend a couple of days in Darwin, from 27 to 29 or so. Not sure, but I think is very possible.

From what I experienced and was told most guys take 1 to 3 days (usually 2) to take a very good buffalo at Gan Gan with Hunt Australia. Of course you pay for five days and can hunt or fish longer. Will you be hunting with anyone else?

Darwin is not worth a lot of time, but there are great things to do less than a days drive away, including:

Yellow Waters;
Adelaide River Jumping Crocodiles;
the Wildlife Zoo outside Darwin;
Katherine River Gorge
Fishing, among other things.

The end of August should also be the waterfowl season.

It would be good to meet up if it is possible. The timing sounds good.

Graham Williams has emailled me and said he may be available sometime in the five days following the 28th of August, as he will be doing errands before the next safari starts.

Yes, my father will hunt down there too.

If we can arrange a meeting, I'll stay a couple of days in Darwin but if isn't , may be I'll stay fishing in camp.

I will be out chasing pigs ,scrub bulls and barra at the time so I,m out. Are there any plans for the 2006 NitroExpress N.T hunt?
