A handsome chap.

Here is one for those keen bird watchers. An annual visitor to my garden that I finally got a reasonable pic of.

Anyone care to ID it without reffing their bird ID books or running an exif search?

Here is a big clue for those of you that know a few Celtic capers.....kissing and Christmas are the two words that will tell you what the birds name is.

Kissing & Christmas Hmm - how about a Ruby Breasted Mattress Thrasher - Thrusher, whatever!
Feathered version - just a guess?
OK we give up.

It is a Mistletoe Bird so named as they feed on the M/toe seeds and spread them.

Yes - good looking bird - both genders - bet if he was an 'Indian' Bird, he'd in short supply. The flytying industry in UK would have been hard on his numbers.
