O. Geyger & Co. rifle pictures & questions

Hi all, I just found your awesome forum when I was looking for information on this rifle. Thought I'd share some pictures; the ones at the end have markings that I can't find, such as a knight holding a lance on horseback. I'm a history nerd, and want to know about this one, it was apparently made in Berlin in December 1937, making for possibly a historic item.

Very nice rifle and welcome to the forum. Back a little bit I had to re cut all the markings on a little single shot 22, and the knight on the horse was the makers mark on that rifle. It was made by the Bayard company in Belgium, which was started by Henri Pieper. He was born in Germany and moved to Belgium where he started his gunmaking business. At one point they were considered one of the most important gunmaking firms in the country.

Does that mean that this was crafted in Germany (Suhl), and finished (engraved, soforth), by Pieper in Belgium?
The scope was made in the early 1940's by a popular German manufacturer, so did it make its way back to Germany?
Just thinking out loud..

According book "Mauser military rifles of the World" it went like this:
"The cavalier on horseback is the tarditional trademark of the Pieper firm of Liege, Belgium. This particular stamp was found under the receiver of a German Gewehr 98 bearing a Crown-over-Spandau, 1916 crest. It is believed that the Imperial German national armory of Spandau suncontracted the manufacture of a number of Gew 98 receivers to both Pieper and the German industrial firm of Siemens and Halske."
So this means that yours rifle was "born" as an ordinary military mauser which later, I think between I and II WW, has rebuilt as a hunting rifle in Suhl.

There was a number; "1237" (Dec. 1937), so I think that supports what you were saying. Thanks!
