CZ55FS ... with mods

I found this CZ550FS in 308, but wanted a more classic European style ... The bolt handle was changed to the butter-knife style and the bolt itself, jeweled.

Butter-knife bolt handle is classic german detail which match very good to full stock. But jewelled bolt belongs more to U.S. -made rifles.

I really like the look of the butter knife bolt handle. I have been thinking of having one put on my CZ452FS. Who did you have do the work?

I had a local gunsmith do the work, but I know he's mostly retired now. The handle is from Brownell's. You should be able to find a good gunsmith that could do the work.

The main question is WHY??? Why a butter knife, I thought they were used to spread butter , not on a rifle bolt handle!! And why are all the good gunsmiths RETIRED??? Don't we have any good ones left, I know of at least 2

Well, I tried to use the bolt as is, but the ball would keep pushing through the bread.
