Did you see the IraqVet8888 - Erik's video on the destruction testing of an AK? Impressive. He did the same thing with an AR15 (M16 lower). The second AK test is really something - along with the gunsmithing after the shooting was done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwSJiAwoMpY |

I was surprised for sure. - after the bit of gunsmithing, straightening the barrel, it went back to shooting. Amazing |

Quote: Yep, that is one hell of a rifle. Closest I have witnessed was an SLR- Aussie FN FAL- a Warrant Officer was wearing the M60 asbestos glove on left hand. Firing as fast as e could pull the trigger, being hand feed a mag the moment his was empty. The fore end has an alloy protector on the inside. Wood was smoking, barrel was glowing white. You could see a grey pulse travel down the barrel with each shot. Only reason he stopped was we ran out of ammo. No idea how many rounds, his mag changers were quicker mainly due to the charging handle being on the left side. Rifle was still functioning and you could plainly see the drop on the barrel. Yes it was sent back to the amoury to have a new barrel placed on it. I would like to see that test with an Israeli Galil. |

That is amazing the barrel didn't blow on the FNFAL, like it did on the AR. 58,000-59,000 PSI (seems to me) with mil-spec 7.62x51. |
