A light HAGN rifle that we have made on order for a roe deer hunter customer. This .243W stutzen has been built on a Martin HAGN small action fitted with a 22" Heym barrel blank we have turned to our own profile. To maintain accuracy by avoiding nocuous pressure, the forearm is split in two at the level of the schnabel. This rifle is fitted with a light Swarovski scope on our special quick detachable handmade claw mount. The trapped buttplate gives access to stock disassembly. The French gray case hardening highlights the fine English scroll engraving. Far from being a luxury rifle made for the show it is a functional single shot that will spend a lot of time hunting. Regards to all. DORLEAC www.dorleac-dorleac.com |

Beautiful rifle Joel, super elegant and the stock is perfect. Most other gun makers who make Stutzen falling block rifles do not get the proportions right and they often look like a club more than a rifle. Super tasteful engraving and just the right amount, very well executed as well. Magnificent. Thanks for posting. Matt. |

Very nice except I would have preferred something besides the "English Garden" type of engraving. I have met Martin Hagn numerous times. |

Wonderful rifle Sir! That engraving, WOW!! I've seen many takes on boquet engraving, particularly on flat falling blocks, but I think this example is great. Using concentric arcs of scroll focuses the eye to the bouquet but also very tastefully fills in parts of the open fields in a gradual transition from the scroll borders to the floral center. And that flourish of flowers on the action ring... Seems a little bit of an homage to some George Gibbs Farquharsons. Pretty awesome IMO. |
