9.3x72R ?

Hi guys ,I just got my hands on a nice old Sauer drilling in 9.3x72R ...having a hard time to come up with some recipes,the gun is stamped Nitro on the barrel flats.
Can any one help ?

Cjdawe, I have an Excel list I've built up over time of about 60+ recipes but I've never posted a document. If you can tell me how I'd be happy to share it.

Interesting round, for being such a long case. 200gr. (or was it 192gr. or 196gr.?) at about 1,960fps - bit foggy on the memory.

Copy & paste them from your s/sheet into the little box at the bottom of this post.
It may look right if you directly do so & have multiple columns per loads, but it doesn't work out when actually posting - best to paste one load under each other.
Other wise it is a lot of typing!
Yes I have pretty the much the same as you - but have no where near as many as you!
Would love to see 9.3x72mm loads - I thought they were BP or NFB only?
Please note, these loads are safe in my rifle only.

Mr Dawe. You will need to slug your bore. Bores in this chambering can run all the way from .357 to .371. You will need this to order the proper dies.

The bore size is stamped on the guns marked with nitro stamps but is misleading. You will still need to slug the bore to find out exactly what you have. One of mine is stamped 9.3 witch would be .366 but my groove dia. is .357. My rifle was made in the early 30s.

The CH4D dies I ordered for mine wont work. The sizing die dos't size the case mouth down far enough to hold a bullet and the expander plug is the wrong size. I have to use 38 special die to size the case mouth down. Just an extra step but still a pain in the ass. It is easy to crush one of those long cases if your not careful.

A shout out to Capegunner for his help on this ...hours online and I came up with basically nothing usable ,his graciously offered material was more than enough to get me up and running .

I have the same situation as Wayne. Chambered to accept a .366 with a .358 groove. Shot a 200gr cast gc over IMR 4198 (high 20s) in it and it regulates to the sights. I did use cotton filler or it gave me misfires. My gun is nitro proofed.
