British single shot falling block actions---Alex. Henry/Farq

Can anyone tell me for sure, if either of the two types of British single shot falling block rifles, the original hammer Alex. Henry type, or the later John Farquharson hammerless type, were made in different, scaled sizes for different calibers, or were they made only in one size? Authorities have said that the original Farquharson actions were strong enough for many modern nitro cartridges, but can the same thing be said about the original Alex. Henry outside hammer action?

They were both made in different sizes.

The Alex Henry is surely a strong action but I cannot comment on their suitability for the higher pressure nitro cartridges.
