The Ale and Whiskey are just fine. I was never a fan of raw (or steamed) shellfish. Deep frieds clam are OK.
I would, however, sit, drink, converse and watch you scarf down those obnoxious molusks.
8.8 pounds of the things - YIKES!

Man I am a fan---and would love to partake in a meal like that...Whiskey is probably too rich for my blood..but a man can dream..

My favourite is to pluck them from the sea and eat them on the spot straight out of the shell Daryl.
I would have a good laugh watching you watching me scoffing down a few dozen complete with mussel juice running down my chin.Throw in a few squelching sounds for good measure ha ha.
Clams? Pipi`s as we call them here are plentiful on the right beaches and they get eaten the same way.

I said clams, but meant oysters - deep fried. My uncle - bit of an asshole, Clp. in the RCMPolice made me eat a raw clam many years ago - I was 4 years old - I spewed it all over the living room rug - along with everything else in my stomach at the time - a good 15 foot spray. I've not been able to eat once since - made me sick both times I tried it as an adult.
Deep fried Oysters - yumm - every one of them works - or at least did when I was young.LOL

I asked Victor (mate) one morning did you go the growl on the bearded clam last night (new sheila) he replied "nah,tried that once it nearly made me spew".."not doing that again"
Musta been a Canadian clam ha ha ha.
