Interesting to watch the old VX-3 evolve in Leupold's line from the late 1980's to present.. Back in the day the VX-3 4x14 was my go to scope..Had it mounted on anything from 22-250 to 300RUM.. Never had one fail with the exception of a 3-10 I had mounted for 20+ years on a 300 W Mag.. that finally gave up the ghost..

I have been using the VX-5's on several rifles.. 338RUM, 28 Nosler and 6.5 PRC-and really like them

This seems like a good mid-priced scope if it has the same quality I am finding in the VX-5's
