I am in the market for a spotting scope and would like your recommendations as to what I should purchase. I would like to get a BARSKA 20-60x60 or more with a lens of 80mm or more. I have been looking at a Celestron 52250 with angled eye piece. Is there loss of sharpness with an angled eye piece compared to a straight? I have only been able to try one with an angle which belongs to my colleague. http://www.bestopticsfor.com/best-spotting-scope-reviews/ Any advice appreciated. Regards, Daniel |

Details This one, and the Pentax are likely to have the best optics of any on that page. The under $200.00 spotting scopes are not very good, imho. In a spotting scope, it's all about optics and build quality. I sincerely doubt you will find that in a Barska scope. All of the Barska rifle scopes I have seen (20+) have been garbage. I have no reason to believe their spotting scopes are magically better. In the Cheaper line of scopes, the Bushnels are QUITE likely the best. |

I have a Vortex 20-60x80 Diamondback with the angled eyepiece here that gets a lot of use. It's very nice. |
