G'Day Fella's, I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, but here is a link that I posted on the Australian, "Enough Gun" forum. https://enoughgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=9068 Hope that helps Avagreatweekendeh! Homer |

Get a Land Rover, and you won't have to go to all that trouble. The oil has already run out every seam so fast, it's too late. |

G'Day Mike, Yes mate, they have a reputation for it. Personally, I reckon it's a conspiracy between the British Auto Industry and the Oil Company BP (British Petroleum). Avagreatweekendeh! Homer |

BTW When a Land Rover gearbox seal fails at the rear, there is sufficient room in the big steel box which holds all the rattley whiney stuff behind it to hold all the oil, which causes the rattley whiney stuff in the gearbox to smash itself into little pieces. Don't ask me how I know this...... |

Mike, that sounds like a night mare! I hope you weren't out in the "Boonies", when that broke. Did I mention the conspiracy of collusion between the British Auto Industry, and their Australian Iron Ore suppliers? LOL! Regards Homer |

Clever fix mate! All will be sweet as the levels drain & hence sort themselves - if it drains! Could never do that with a "landy".....they can never have enough oil rather than too much for a cruiser! |

Thanks mate. Good point 93x64, they (Landy's) do have a reputation for this LOL! But despite this, they have been Everywhere on the planet (........... and left drips of oil along the way to prove it)! Regards Homer |

Quote: The oil leaks on Landrovers were the old GPS system. Like a trail of breadcumbs, follow the oil leak back out of the bush if you get lost. |
