Man Bag??? You had me worried until I hit the thread link and saw what you were talking about. |

I see altogether quite a few "men" in town wearing purses, however, now I might run into them in the bush too?? This is sort of back to the 1700s..? Where hunters had a bag, rather than a backpack, for their minimalistic gear. I like the idea! Pretty "tacticool"? |

Wouldn't that be called a "murse"?? Man-Purse? |

I like using something similar when I am traveling..can put in a lunch, camera equipment etc when you go for hikes...personally, I have found, mainly because I usually take way too much stuff..a like wheels for my carry on..with the books, optics, travel doc, money, etc..gets way too heavy to cary on my should all over the airport.which I usually also put in one day of change of clothes as well in case my luggage doesn't show up....but that is usually only on travels to the other side of the planet..otherwise..the one shown is my perference as well.. Second that Ripp! Itīs good to have an extra change in the carry-on. Those flights form Norway-New Zealand with no stop-over is a bit long. Nice to be able to make a change at some time.. or.. not doing so probably gets you more space in economy class?? |

Bonde for being so obsessed With carrying too many pounds you could stand to lose 40 of them around Your waist first |

I use that bag a lot for carrying stuff for work, from pruning snips, pliers, lighter, water or drinks, mobile phone, batteries, wallet etc. Handy for hanging in the tractor cab or wherever. Usually has some ammo and a knife in it somewhere too. But preferably not if flying. |

You cant even bring a cigar clipper on the plane, which Ive experienced first hand! Appearently they think you are gonna flip it out and start taking names and clipping fingers With it! |

My friend, never fail to find a live .450/400 NE cartridge round hidden and lost for months in a fold in the back of a cabin bag, the space you did not even know existed and fly through Singapore ... |

I actually managed to forget a 20ga shell in my cabin bag when flying out of Warzaw the other day. My day bag on the driven hunt doubled as my cabin bag. Certainly not a great idea not to go through every little pocket.. The security people were not happy to say the least, and Iīm very glad my flight was delayed! Luckily they didnīt pull up any inspection gloves.......! |

John I have been thinking of getting one of those. Getting a bit sick of bum bags etc. I wear a water container the same way that goes. |

Quote: I flew on a half dozen flights in Australia with a .400 calibre Nitro Express round lost and hidden away in a crease of my cabin bag. I didn't even know the crease existed until Singaporean airport security fully opened the bag and revealing a lovely large NE round ... yes I did miss the flight, until the next day, and almost enjoyed free accommodation that night. |

I nearly did the same coming back from Darwin. As I as "packing", I decided to take out what was in there, both a back pack and a Army Hold all and give them a good shake / clean before packing. I had a round come out of each !!! |

It allowed me to tick off one item on my adventurers bucket list - "Get arrested in SE Asia." Maybe a fairly minor reason, not being executed for it, but it did come under a terrorism law. :O |

John, just had a look at kitbag and ordered one, very handy looking bit of kit. Great for the motorbike, ute or short hunting trips. |

Quote: One reason I have a bag just for cabin luggage. No hunting/firearm gear goes near it. The Feds are starting to charge some of the people caught out over this sort of non intended offence at Aussie airports. |
||||||||

With the way weight restrictions are now on airlines, it's hard to take extra bags just for hunting. My back pack / day pack is my cabin luggage but goes with me on the quad or for walks if needed and has day stuff in it. My boots and other heavy stuff goes in it on the aircraft and meat comes back in it on the aircraft so I don't go overweight. My metal ammo box goes in the Army Esch bag and sometimes goes out bush with extras in it. When is an offence committed ? When you go through screening or if you board an aircraft ? |

Quote: I take as much as I can in my rifle case, being 'sporting equipment' Qantas doesn't charge you for the weight. |
