the two gauge

mention the 2 gauge I see in vienna and meanwhile Springer's Erben was kind enough to send my some pics. http://forums.nitroexpress.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=370941&Main=370917#Post370941

its one of three made in 2000 by Giles Whittome in london
comes with 35 rounds, price is 495000

the ammo was looking very professional made, maybe they rework machine canon brass. bullet diamter is given here with 33,38 mm.

Re: the two gauge

they given the weight of a lead ball ( 33,38 mm) with 217 gramm, per calculation it must be 220,48 but this is close enough I am satisfied. imperial pound have 453,592 gramm, not exactly but yes its a two bore.

Dinosaur killer alright!
Beautiful timber & workmanship.
What type of action is that Lancaster, obviously scaled up?

Absolutely.

Looks like a scaled up Alex Henry action to me.
10,000 to 17,000fpe - Prohibited firearm in Canada. Guess I can't buy one. Oh well.

Max here is now 10,000joules = 7.376fpe. We have to keep the over powered rifles "off the streets, making them safer for the general public.

Re: the two gauge

daryl, you see the lead roundball have 10000 joule.
you don't use the brass solid with 17000 joule and everything is fine in canada

Re: the two gauge

The way the "law" was written, if the gun can possibly produce or has the potential to produce over 10,000 joules, it is prohibited - as well as any firearm with a bore larger than 20 mm. So, 8 bore or larger are automatically prohibited as dangerous firearms.
Those of the black powder community are in confusion as to if their muzzleloading cannon are included in this "new" size classification.

"The verbiage is VERY important and was done with careful consideration" - that statement by the Federal Minister guilty of these changes to the code.
